A testimony is like a person in the courtroom who must give a witness to what he or she has seen. Jesus tells us in Acts 1:8 “You will be my witnesses…” which reminds us that we live on mission with God. Sharing your faith is much larger than you telling your friend about Christ, it is part of the “Great Commission.”
The role of your testimony in sharing your faith is the personal aspect of the supernatural event. Remember, you are not sharing about how bad you have been, but how great our God! A man in the gospel of John was asked specific questions about his encounter with Jesus, the man replied, “All I can say is that I was blind but now I see.” This is usually the response of a person who has encountered Christ. You begin to see things in a different way, you are concerned in a new way, you begin to care about people and these experiences continue to develop over the course of your life.
